Finding the Found - Photo

Marty Miller collects found photos. Since his move to Hong Kong in 2019, he has been collecting used digital cameras and found memory cards from street markets in Sham Shui Po.

The exhibition Finding the Found - Photo presented a unique opportunity to view lost photos from 1996-2010 Hong Kong found in old memory cards. Marty contends that the archive and its stories are unfinished.

The eight photo books, organised into four themes, stretched over the gallery, showcased the camera functioning properly or deteriorating over time.

They also showed pictures of pictures and how images are produced.
